(10794) Vange Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 29 February 1992 by UESAC at La Silla.

Vänge is the place where, according to an old saga, a man called Tjelvar first came ashore on Gotland. After he lit a fire the spell was broken, and the island did not sink into the ocean at night any more.Naming citation (20091004/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
