(8869) Olausgutho Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 6 March 1992 by UESAC at La Silla.
Olaus Johannis Gutho, from the island of Gotland, was a student at Uppsala University from 1477 to 1486. His carefully written lecture notes (in seven volumes), the only ones preserved from that time, give good examples of the curricula in those days.Naming citation (20000320/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
