(33748) Davegault Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 15 August 1999 by J. Broughton at Reedy Creek.

Dave Gault (b. 1957) is an amiable coordinator and diligent analyzer of occultations for the Australasian region. An avid video observer, in 2021 he co-discovered the relatively large and nearby companion to (4337) Arecibo. It is the first double asteroid discovered that was subsequently confirmed by way of occultation results alone.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 3, #12, 14), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
