(9241) Rosfranklin Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 10 August 1997 by J. Broughton at Reedy Creek.

London-born Rosalind E. Franklin (1920-1958) was a brilliant chemist whose work, shown without consent to rival scientists, was vital evidence for modeling the structure of DNA. Franklin died without receiving due credit for her contribution to arguably the scientific breakthrough of the century.Naming citation (20050125/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
