(26647) Brabham Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 2 June 2000 by J. Broughton at Reedy Creek.
Jack Brabham (1926–2014) was an Australian mechanical engineer and race-car driver. In 1960, after winning consecutive Formula 1 championships, he formed the Brabham Racing Organisation that soon became the world's largest constructor of custom racing cars. His championship win in 1966 was the only time a driver has won in a car of his own manufacture.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 5, #25, 5), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
