(11967) Boyle Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 12 August 1994 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.

Robert Boyle (1627-1691) was a British physicist and philosopher well known for his experiments with gases, leading to the discovery that the volume of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure. In 1661 he developed the concept of primary particles (the critical chymist).Naming citation (20030501/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
