(12028) Annekinney Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 9 January 1997 by T. Kobayashi at Oizumi.
Astronomer Anne L. Kinney (b. 1950) quantified the misalignment of the central black hole accretion disk and galaxy disk in Seyfert galaxies. She served as Director of NASA's Universe Division and Director of Goddard's Solar System Exploration Division. In 2015 she was named Chief Scientist for the Keck Observatory.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2015-08-29), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
