(718629) Wangzhenru Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 21 July 2017 by PMO NEO Survey Program at XuYi.
Wang Zhenru (1937–2017), a Chinese high-energy astrophysicist at Nanjing University, was the first to connect ancient Chinese astronomical records with modern astrophysical phenomena. She discovered the Seward-Wang relation and introduced the concept of “intrinsically faint pulsars”. Her seminal work earned her wide international acclaim.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #12, 11), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
