(68585) Skorov Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 9 January 2002 by Asiago-DLR Asteroid Survey at Cima Ekar.

Yuri Skorov (b. 1959) is a Russian planetary scientist based in Germany. He has made significant contributions to cometary science, especially in thermal modeling and in understanding the transport of gas and particles across cometary surfaces, helping to link physical theory with spacecraft and observational data.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #6, 10), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
