(37607) Regineolsen Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 2 September 1992 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.

Regine Olsen (1822-1904) was a Danish woman who was engaged to the Danish philosopher Sören Kierkegaard and who had a great influence upon his works. Although both loved each other passionately, Kierkegaard left her, immortalizing her in his many writings (e.g., Gjentagelsen, 1843).Naming citation (20121029/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
