(10549) Helsingborg Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 2 September 1992 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.

Helsingborg is a town in southern Sweden at the narrowest part of the Öresund. It is the most convenient place for motor traffic to cross to and from the European continent by ferry. In honor of Tycho Brahe, who had his observatory in the vicinity, an appropriate monument has been erected there.Naming citation (20000320/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
