(24750) Ohm Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 24 September 1992 by Borngen, F., Schmadel, L. D. at Tautenburg.
German physicist Georg Simon Ohm (1789-1854) discovered the fundamental law of electrical circuits in 1826 and also formulated the laws of current branchings. In 1843 he defined acoustic sound as a purely sinusoidal oscillation. The name was suggested by the first discoverer.Naming citation (20010804/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
