(392440) Klimavicius Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 8 September 2010 by Cernis, K., Zdanavicius, J. at Moletai.

Jonas Klimavičius (1923–2018) was a Lithuanian amateur astronomer and the uncle of the first discoverer. He had an extensive library and a small observatory with 40×75-mm binoculars. By showing the night sky through his telescope and providing books on astronomy, he was the first to inspire an interest in observing the starry sky in the first discoverer.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #9, 19), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
