(66200) Gibis Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 20 January 1999 by ODAS at Caussols.

The Gibis were characters in the French animated television series Les Shadoks. Like the Shadoks, they were intelligent, but vulnerable. They also lived on a two-dimensional planet and had their brains in their hats. Their planet was unstable, so like the Shadoks they decided to build a rocket to go to Earth.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #9, 16), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
