(15822) Genefahnestock Inner Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 8 October 1994 by E. F. Helin at Palomar.

Eugene G. Fahnestock (b. 1980) has made seminal contributions to the dynamical study of binary asteroids. He was the first to investigate the fully coupled dynamics of a detailed binary asteroid system model using the radar-based shape models of 1999 KW4.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2019-12-12), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
