(18055) Fernhildebrandt Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 11 October 1999 by Hug, G., Bell, G. at Eskridge.

Fern C. Hildebrandt (b. 1927) instilled and cultivated an interest in astronomy in codiscoverer Gary Hug at a very early age. Resident now in Topeka, Kansas, she has been an example of dedication and triumph through difficult times and has inspired this codiscoverer to search the night sky.Naming citation (20010309/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
