(37582) Faraday Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 12 October 1990 by Borngen, F., Schmadel, L. D. at Tautenburg.

The English naturalist Michael Faraday (1791-1867) discovered the liquefaction of chlorine and the benzene, electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism, the rotation of light's polarization plane by a magnetic field and the screening Faraday-cage. He also stated the basic laws of electrolysis.Naming citation (20020526/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
