(4599) Rowan Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 5 September 1985 by H. Debehogne at La Silla.

Michael Rowan-Robinson (b. 1942), of Imperial College, London, led the team evaluating the completeness and reliability of the IRAS deep-sky infrared survey. His work has been mainly extragalactic, but he used the survey to set a strict limit on the existence of undiscovered Jupiter-like planets beyond the orbit of Neptune.Naming citation (20060613/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
