(5665) Begemann Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 30 January 1982 by S. J. Bus at Palomar.
Friedrich Begemann (b. 1927), director emeritus of the Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie at Mainz, is a pioneering cosmochemist who determined the first cosmic-ray-exposure age of a meteorite. He later investigated isotopic anomalies in meteorites and established the physical conditions that produced these anomalies.Naming citation (20020624/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
