Discovered on 10 August 1994 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.
Abbie Louise Donaldson (b. 1996) is a Northern Irish astronomer at the University of Edinburgh who works on comets. Her Ph.D. thesis was on determining the shapes of cometary nuclei from lightcurves, and she now works on comet observations with the Vera C. Rubin observatory and supports the ESA Comet Interceptor mission.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #11, 8), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
