(9394) Manosque Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 10 August 1994 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.
Manosque, a small city in southern France (Provence), not far from the Durance river, has become well known through the writings of Jean Giono, who was born there. It still has many reminders of medieval times, including La porte Soubeyran, and is only 20 km away from the Observatory of Haute Provence.Naming citation (20021120/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
