Jing Li (1960–2025), Chinese-American solar astrophysicist and wife of astronomer David Jewitt, studied the solar dynamo. Her research resolved the 180° ambiguity in vector magnetographs and probed the large-scale, long-lived coronal streamers. Jing also contributed to small-body research via solar spacecraft data.Discovered 12 May 1999 by LINEAR, Socorro
