Farid Char (b. 1983) is an amateur astronomer and research assistant at the University of Antofagasta, Chile. He has coordinated public-outreach activities, including talks, stargazing, astrophotography and visits to ESO observatories. As a collaborator of EURONEAR, he observed and reduced NEA data, and discovered a few MBAs and one Earth quasi-satellite.Discovered 27 March 2014 by EURONEAR, La Palma
