(5047) Zanda Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 2 March 1981 by S. J. Bus at Siding Spring.

Brigitte Zanda (b. 1958) is a meteorite curator at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris and an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University. Her research on the formation of chondrules has placed important constraints on chemical and physical processes operating in the solar nebula.Naming citation (20001013/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
