(10120) Ypres Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 18 December 1992 by E. W. Elst at Caussols.

With Bruges and Ghent, Ypres virtually controlled Flanders in the thirteenth century. During the Middle Ages, it became a major cloth-weaving city. Within the bulge of the British lines during World War I, Ypres was completely destroyed, subsequently to be rebuilt in its original style.Naming citation (19990928/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
