(10730) White Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 19 September 1987 by E. Bowell at Anderson Mesa.

An astronomer at Lowell Observatory from 1969 until 2007, Nathaniel Miller White (b. 1941) studied close binaries and measured stellar angular diameters using high-speed photometry of lunar occultations. From 1992 until his retirement, he was Lowell's lead scientist in the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer project.Naming citation (20070601/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
