(30955) Weiser Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 12 August 1994 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.
German palaeontologic geologist Thorolf Weiser (b. 1938) published an in situ investigation of the Nördlinger Ries crater. He later changed his field to mineralogy, using electron-microprobe analysis for the determination of several new minerals.Naming citation (20080122/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
