Discovered on 25 January 2008 by J. Lacruz at La Canada.

Urriellu is a wonderful limestone peak located in the Macizo central of the Picos de Europa. It is not the highest in the mountain range but is one of the best-known summits of Spanish mountaineering, in particular because of its 550-meter vertical west face.Naming citation (20101128/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
