(6113) Tsap Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 16 September 1982 by L. I. Chernykh at Nauchnyj.

Teodor Teodorovich Tsap (b. 1930) and his son Yurij Teodorovich Tsap (b. 1966) are astronomers at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. They have made a significant contribution to observations and theory of various solar phenomena. Teodor Tsap, with coauthors, discovered oscillations in the sun with a period of 160 min.Naming citation (20041126/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
