(54820) Svenders Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 11 July 2001 by Dellinger, J., Dillon, W. G. at Needville.

Sven Treitel (b. 1929) and Enders Robinson (b. 1930) co-authored a landmark series of papers that founded the modern field of applied geophysical signal analysis. This followed Robinson's first performance of signal processing on a general-purpose digital computer.Naming citation (20040107/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
