(78756) Sloan Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 10 October 2002 by Sloan Digital Sky Survey at Apache Point.
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey used a dedicated 2.5-m telescope to image more than a quarter of the celestial sphere. It has catalogued over 300 million objects and obtained spectra of over a million galaxies, quasars and stars.Naming citation (20090209/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
