(10112) Skookumjim Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 31 July 1992 by H. E. Holt at Palomar.
Keish (c. 1855–1916), known as Skookum Jim Mason, was a Tagish adventurer and prospector in Canada's Yukon Territory who shared the discovery claim that initiated the Klondike Gold Rush. A trust fund he established helped provide medical care for aboriginals in the Yukon, and his house in Carcross is an interpretative center today for Yukon culture.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 3, #1, 6), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
