(33288) Shixian Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 22 May 1998 by LONEOS at Anderson Mesa.

Xian Shi (b. 1983) of the Max-Planck Institute (Göttingen) analyzed image data of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko taken by the OSIRIS camera system of the Rosetta mission to discover sunset and sunrise jets as well as the ejection of meter-size boulders by the local gas flow on the comet.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 1, #2, 17), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
