Discovered on 29 July 1998 by ODAS at Caussols.
Les Shadoks was a French animated television series broadcast from 1968 to 1974. The Shadoks were bird-like characters, living on the two-dimensional planet Shadok. The show used several phrases still used today in France, including “why do it the easy way when you can do it the hard way?”. Many of these phrases apply to engineering.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #6, 9), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
