(3822) Segovia Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 21 February 1988 by T. Seki at Geisei.
Named in memory of Andrés Segovia (1893–1987), considered by many to be the most celebrated guitarist of all time. The discoverer heard Segovia perform in Japan in 1959, and this greatly inspired his own interest in playing the guitar.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #9, 5), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
