(12472) Samadhi Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 3 February 1997 by Spacewatch at Kitt Peak.
Samadhi is the Sanskrit word for the mental state of unity of subject and object, characterized by the complete and ongoing absence of discrete thoughts. Practiced mediators, artists and athletes know this empty state as one of spontaneous and easy attention to the matter at hand.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 3, #12, 7), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
