(10781) Ritter Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 6 August 1991 by F. Borngen at Tautenburg.

As the result of numerous physical experiments he conducted during the decade he lived in Jena, the German scientist Johann Wilhelm Ritter (1776-1810) discovered the electrochemical voltage ranking of the metals (1798) and the ultraviolet part of the radiation in the solar spectrum (1801).Naming citation (20000320/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
