Discovered on 7 July 1997 by V. Goretti at Pianoro.
Named in honor of Ulisse Quadri (b. 1953) Italian teacher and amateur astronomer, author of articles and texts on science and mathematics for children. His interests in astronomy include astrometry and photometry of minor bodies, sundials and software development.
