(6521) Pina Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 15 June 1991 by E. F. Helin at Palomar.

Named in honor of Pina Toscano Blanco, regular “accompanying person” at astronomical meetings during the last 25 years. Her continuous presence has made her a supporting member of the “wives' committees” that do so much to improve such meetings. Name suggested by Pina's husband, Carlo Blanco, with the blessing of the discoverer.Naming citation (19961026/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
