(5191) Paddack Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 13 November 1990 by Ueda, S., Kaneda, H. at Kushiro.

Stephen J. Paddack (b. 1934) is an aeronautical engineer, who was involved with many spacecraft missions, including Cobe, ICE, and ISEE 1, 2 and 3. His research on the effects of radiation pressure contributed significantly towards understanding the Yarkovsky-O'Keefe-Radzievskii-Paddack (YORP) effect.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2015-06-02), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
