Discovered on 23 September 2003 by B. Christophe at Saint-Sulpice.
Morogues is a charming village in central France famous for its white wine “appellation Menetou-Salon”, and also for being the apex of one of the triangles used by Delambre in 1795 for the calculation of the méridienne. The discoverer started to practice astronomy in this village where his parents retired.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 3, #12, 8), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
