(11950) Morellet Outer Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 19 September 1993 by E. W. Elst at Caussols.

Abbé André Morellet (1727-1819) left his Mémoirs sur le XVIIIe siècle et la Révolution (1821), a precious document about the eighteenth century. Besides several articles for Diderot's Encyclopédie, he refuted, in 1770, Galiani's Dialogues sur le commerce des blés.Naming citation (20030910/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
