(5376) Maruthiakella Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 16 February 1990 by Ueda, S., Kaneda, H. at Kushiro.

Indian-American aerospace engineer Maruthi R. Akella (b. 1972) is a Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Texas at Austin. He has been instrumental in advancing the control of complex dynamical systems with large-scale nonlinearities and uncertainties, contributing to many successful applications in astrodynamics.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 4, #14, 6), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
