(8808) Luhmann Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 24 October 1981 by S. J. Bus at Palomar.

Janet G. Luhmann (b. 1946) is a Senior Space Fellow at the University of California Berkeley. She used Pioneer Venus magnetic-field observations in the solar wind to investigate correlations of field disturbances with asteroids, in particular with (2201) Oljato.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2014-07-12), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
