Lavina Ahmed (1983–2020) was a Bangladeshi-Swedish scientist, who researched the growth and malignancy of tumors. Her research focused on complex receptors, including one named Axl, which is present in a wide range of cancers. Research into such receptors is important in our battle against cancer.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 2, #3, 8), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
