(20473) Lainey Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 13 July 1999 by LINEAR at Socorro.

Valéry Lainey (b. 1974) is a French astronomer at the Paris Observatory. He is an expert in high-precision astrometry, ephemerides, and dynamical planetology modeling of small bodies. He specializes in the dynamics and tides of celestial bodies, making use of observations from ground and from space, and old observations on photographic plates.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #11, 22), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
