(35233) Krcin Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 26 May 1995 by Ticha, J., Tichy, M. at Klet.
Jakub Krčín of Jelčany (1535-1604) became famous for designing and making ponds in South Bohemia. Notably he constructed Rožmberk, the largest pond in Bohemia, as well as a system of canals and drains. Many of his waterworks are still in operation for breeding fish and for protection from floods.Naming citation (20060613/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
