(9284) Juansanchez Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 7 March 1981 by S. J. Bus at Siding Spring.

Juan Andres Sanchez (b. 1979) is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Katlenburg-Lindau. His contributions include detailed analysis of phase-angle effects on the near-infrared spectra of asteroids toward interpreting their composition.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2014-07-12), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
