(27506) Glassmeier Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 7 April 2000 by LONEOS at Anderson Mesa.

Karl-Heinz Glassmeier (b. 1954) is an expert in magnetospheric and plasma physics and Lead Investigator of magnetometers on numerous planetary space missions. He found comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko to be emitting a 'song' in the form of oscillations in the magnetic field.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 1, #2, 10), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
