(30521) Garyferland Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 28 June 2001 by LONEOS at Anderson Mesa.
Gary Joseph Ferland (b. 1951) is an American astronomer. He created the massive computer code Cloudy and has maintained it and made it available to all since 1978. It synthesizes spectra from radio to γ rays for molecular, atomic, and ionized gases. Gary has used it to study nebulae, active galactic nebulae, and other sources.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 5, #20, 5), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
